It is that time of year. RSA is always a great event – the way it concentrates people in our industry makes it a fantastic opportunity to meet with clients, prospects, partners, press, analysts, and the ever-sought-after “thought leaders.” There is also a bit of a nonsense that has grown up around the RSA conference – especially the Expo floor. They may have chased the booth babes away, but the floor is still known for hosting lots of marketing people, lots of sales people, but a dearth of vendor representatives who can really talk deeply about their products and services. No disrespect to our comrades in marketing, PR, and sales, but this year we decided to take a different approach and bring the Denim Group team members with the most experience and the deepest insight and make them available throughout the conference – at our booth and for one-on-one meetings. Our theme for the week for anyone meeting Denim Group team is #WeKnowStuff.
So – I’m happy to introduce to you the Denim Group RSA 2018 travel team:
Bryan Beverly – Bryan is the Director of Technology for Denim Group. Our Application Security and Information Security consulting practices report up through him, as does the ThreadFix engineering team. Come talk to Bryan if you have questions about ThreadFix architecture and internals and if you want to know more about how our consulting offerings are evolving.
Dan Cornell – (that’s me) I am one of the founders of Denim Group and I’m the CTO. I’m also the original creator of ThreadFix. Stop by and talk to me about some of the industry-changing things we’re doing on the ThreadFix roadmap. And then you can talk to Kyle Pippin (ThreadFix Product Manager) and Bryan Beverly (Director of Technology) and they’ll give you the real story.
John Dickson – John doesn’t really need an introduction, but he is one of the Principals and shareholders of Denim Group. His career spans the Air Force, Trident Data Security, and Big Four consulting at KPMG. He spends his time working with CISOs helping them to craft strategies for addressing application security risk and vulnerability management. Drop by to ask him questions about goals for AI in security and concerns about election security.
Cap Diebel – Cap runs our application security practice and sees the entire spectrum of organizations trying to make their applications more secure. Everyone from organizations trying to put security checkpoints in their existing development process to organizations using SecDevOps to shift security to the left and better enmesh it into development. Come talk to Cap if you have questions about the best next steps for how your organization deals with application security risks.
Brian Mather – Brian may be in business development now, but he spent a couple of years as a project manager at Denim Group and two years as ThreadFix’s original Product Manager, leading our first customers’ enterprise deployments. So he has all the battle scars. Ask him about running application security testing programs or rolling out ThreadFix. Brian is a great resource across the application security spectrum.
Andrew Montz – At Denim Group, Andrew oversees sales, marketing, and product – which is a lot. So ThreadFix ultimately reports to him. Andrew’s a long-time technology veteran and he works to craft new products and services and then work to get those implemented in the marketplace.
Kyle Pippin – Kyle is the ThreadFix Product Manager so he is responsible for the product roadmap and the customer experience. Are you a ThreadFix customer? Come talk to Kyle. Thinking about how ThreadFix might fit into your application security program? Come talk to Kyle.
